Edificio Impulsa is the incubator building of the Parque Científico Tecnológico de Gijón, designed for business projects in new technologies and research and development, with close ties to the University. It houses the offices of Gijón Impulsa (Promoción Empresarial y Turística de Gijón, S.A.), the body that manages the park.

The park, owned by Gijón City Council, was promoted by the council in 1999 and opened in 2000 in the Cabueñes and Somió area, and forms part of the Milla del Conocimiento Margarita Salas. In 2022 it was home to 194 companies, most of them linked to industry or technology, employing 5,262 people.
