The Centro Municipal Integrado Ateneo de la Calzada is part of the Gijón City Council’s network of integrated municipal centres and is located in the city’s Oeste district. Under one roof it brings together a citizen attention office, social services, a library with youth, children’s and press rooms, a media library and two study rooms.

Its auditorium, in the basement, has 260 seats and is ready to host activities and events of all kinds. On the ground floor, a 90 m² exhibition room was conceived as an extension of the lobby, and on the fourth floor there is a 45-seat multipurpose room for talks, screenings and discussions. The centre also has workshop rooms for drawing and watercolour, furniture renovation, painting, carving and cooking.
