About this venue
The Campo Municipal de Golf La Llorea is an 18-hole, par 72 course in Gijón, set on a coastal plateau about 100 metres above sea level and very close to the sea. It is not an especially long course, but it is a technical one, designed so that players of any level can enjoy it.
Federated in 1994, it forms the Golf Municipal de Gijón together with El Tragamón, run by the Patronato Deportivo Municipal. Its layout is balanced: the front nine punishes players who slice the ball and the back nine those who hook it. One of its best-known holes is the 16th, a 207-metre par 3 where the wind usually blows against you for most of the year.
