Aces is a small parish in the municipality of Candamo made up of a single settlement, the village of Aces itself, which had just 59 inhabitants in 2019. It lies in the central part of the municipality, by the left bank of the Nalón river, and covers about 2.31 km².
It is regarded as one of the areas of Asturias with the highest density of hórreos (traditional granaries). It has a railway halt on the former Vasco-Asturiano line, now part of the Asturias commuter network as line F-7. On the first Sunday of November it celebrates the amagüesto, a festival where roasted chestnuts and sweet cider are handed out, which a group of neighbours began organising in 1983.
