La Paradieḷḷa, Mercao de Occidente

La Paradieḷḷa, Mercau de Occidente, is an organic and craft market with a cultural, leisure and wellness focus, held in Cadavedo, in the municipality of Valdés. Behind it is a non-profit association, set up in September 2018 to support the market, which is defined by the idea of being healthy and sustainable: products sold without middlemen and a space where traditional crafts are shown to the public.

Its usual home is the plaza of El Curión, a small raised, round square enclosed by tall hedges, where the village’s open-air dances are traditionally held. According to the published information, the market is organised one Sunday a month and brings together garden produce, bread, crafts and processed foods, along with workshops, talks and live music.
