The Belmonte de Miranda Tourist Office occupies the ground floor of the building that houses the Aula del Oro Interpretation Centre and the Casa de Cultura. The building was originally a prison and over time became a cultural and tourist centre; today it is listed in the Inventory of Cultural Heritage of Asturias.
In the same building, the Aula del Oro traces the landscape and historical evolution of the municipality with gold and mining as its central thread, from the Bronze Age to the present day. The exhibition includes replicas of Castro-culture goldwork, a wheelchair-accessible archaeodrome and minerals from the working gold mine at El Valle-Boinás, so a visit to the office can be rounded off with a visit to the interpretation centre.
