The Pabellón de Exposiciones de La Magdalena is the trade-fair and congress venue of Avilés. It is run by the Institución Ferial Comarca Avilés (IFECAV), a consortium of the Principality of Asturias, the Avilés city council, the Avilés Chamber of Commerce and the Caja de Ahorros de Asturias. The present building grew out of the refurbishment of the old La Magdalena facilities, enlarged from some 7,000 to more than 11,000 usable square metres with reinforced-concrete and glass volumes, on a plot of close to 30,000 m².

It offers more than 8,000 m² of exhibition floor with a 17-metre ceiling, linked to a congress area with a 400-seat auditorium, rooms for 20 to 110 people, a press room and an exhibition hall, plus a restaurant, two cafeterias and parking. It hosts fairs, congresses, conventions, exhibitions and cultural and leisure events.
