Factoría Cultural de Avilés

The Factoría Cultural de Avilés is a multidisciplinary arts centre run by the Fundación Municipal de Cultura, a body of the Avilés City Council. It occupies the former Confecciones Camino shirt factory, a building from 1950 whose conversion began in 2007 and which opened as a cultural centre in 2010.

Its roughly 4,500 m² bring together ceramics, painting and engraving workshops, rehearsal rooms for musicians, a dance room, workshops for visual artists, exhibition halls, a FabLab and a performance hall seating 120 people with retractable stands. It is home to the Escuela Municipal de Cerámica and the Factoría Sound concert series, as well as courses and workshops.
