Grand orchestras and symphonic cycles

Symphonic music takes center stage in Gijón's theaters and cultural centers with programs that explore everything from the most iconic film scores to the most demanding classical repertoire.

Under the direction of Iván Arboleya Montes, the Gijón Symphonic Band presents a sonic journey through the most unforgettable film scores. The concert will be held on May 30th at 7:00 PM in the auditorium of the CMI Pumarín Gijón Sur. Admission is free until full capacity is reached, making it a perfect opportunity to enjoy music in an intimate setting.

Additionally, the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra (OSPA) offers us a unique opportunity to enjoy a masterful repertoire at the Teatro Jovellanos.

The OSPA, under the baton of conductor Kristiina Poska and accompanied by flutist Clara Andrada, presents a program that includes premieres in Spain. The event will be on May 28th at 8:00 PM at the Teatro Jovellanos. It is an exceptional evening that combines works by Hallik, Puts, and Mendelssohn's 'Scottish' Symphony.
