Grau/Grado celebrates the XXV Escanda Festival, a day dedicated to highlighting this traditional cereal and its close connection to Asturian history and gastronomic heritage. The event showcases spelt bread and other artisanal products, offering attendees the opportunity to enjoy contests, tastings, and demonstrations of traditional preparation.
The celebration coincides with the town’s Sunday market, where you can find cheeses, cured meats, and local produce from the garden. The day will be enlivened by the traditional music of Nel Villanueva.
