
The Festival Intercélticu d’Avilés y Comarca celebrates its twenty-ninth edition with seven days dedicated to the music, dance, crafts, and culture of the Celtic peoples. This gathering, declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest and of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias, brings together bagpipe bands, dance groups, and artists from Asturias, Galicia, Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, Wales, and Cornwall. 🌍
Programming and activities 🎶
The program combines musical performances, folklore displays, parades, workshops, talks, exhibitions, gastronomy, and children’s activities. The main stage and the Aldea Celta are located in La Exposición, featuring a craft market, a dining area, and attractions for the little ones. In addition to Avilés, the festival extends its activities to Cangas de Onís, Pravia, and Corvera de Asturias.
