Villaviciosa, known as the Apple Capital of Spain, celebrates its XXIII Street Bowling Week from June 29 to July 3, 2026. This annual event is an essential gathering dedicated to the practice and promotion of traditional bowling in the heart of the town.
The plaza del Ayuntamiento will become the main stage, hosting various categories that include senior players, amateurs, cuatreada, junior categories, and a friendly match featuring the women’s national team. In addition to the official competitions, open bowling sessions will be set up for the public so that residents and visitors can get closer to this traditional sport.
Featured Program
The event takes place over five days with an intense schedule of throws, semifinals, and finals:
- Monday, June 29 and Tuesday, June 30: Junior category throws (16:00) and senior (18:00).
- Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2: Open bowling for the public (16:00), followed by the junior category semifinals (17:30) and senior (19:00).
- Friday, July 3: Women’s national team match (16:00), junior category finals (17:30), and senior final (19:00), culminating with the awards ceremony.
