XX International Air Festival

The International Air Festival celebrates its 20th edition, established as the dean of air festivals in Spain, bringing together security forces, the military, and prominent aerobatic pilots over the Bahía de San Lorenzo. This gathering, which is part of the Fiesta del Cielo, runs from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026, and is under the technical direction of ACAE, in collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Gijón.

Program and schedule ✈️

The event takes place over three days, including various exhibitions and rehearsals, with the main day and highlight of the festival scheduled for Sunday, July 26, with a planned schedule from 12:00 to 15:00. The Fiesta del Cielo also includes the popular drone festival organized by Divertia, along with aeronautics workshops and activities for children.

The exhibition features a wide representation of institutions and specialists:

• Ejército del Aire y del Espacio: Patrulla ASPA, Patrulla PAPEA, Airbus A400M, C16 Eurofighter, NH-60 helicopter, Canadair CL-215T, and the Patrulla de Honores.
• Armada: AV-8B Harrier II and SH-60 helicopter.
• Ejército de Tierra: CH-47 Chinook helicopter.
• Guardia Civil: CN235 aircraft, AS365 Dauphin helicopter, and Parachute Team.
• Policía Nacional: Airbus EC135 helicopter.
• Institutional participation: Helimer 401 helicopter (Salvamento Marítimo) and Eurocopter EC145 helicopter (Bomberos de Asturias).
• Civilian pilots: ULM La Morgal, Francis Giménez (Autogiro ELA Aviación), Yak Stars Acrobatic Team (Yak-52), Camilo Benito (Extra 330SC), Jorge Loureiro (Sukhoi Su-26M), and Aerosparx (Grob G109).
• International participation: Daedalus Demo Team with the T-6 Texan from the Hellenic Air Force.
