The Santa Claus motorcycle ride returns to tour Mieres for the eighteenth time, and this year it is for a charitable cause: during the event there will be a donation box for El Camino de Carlota. It is organized by Motoastures and the Ayuntamiento de Mieres.
The funds raised will go to El Camino de Carlota, the campaign by the Cockayne B Spain Association to finance gene therapy against Cockayne syndrome type B, an ultra-rare disease affecting Carlota, a four-year-old girl from Mieres. The goal is to raise two million euros to reach the first clinical trial.
