XLIV Basauriko Herri Krosa

The Basauriko Herri Krosa celebrates its 44th edition. It is a popular race held in Basauri since 1978 that brings together children’s and youth events, as well as an absolute 7 km race, all in a single morning. All events can be completed by running or walking at a brisk pace.

The 2026 edition is dedicated to supporting ARGIA, the Ostomized Association of Bizkaia, whose volunteers will be stationed at various points along the route. The start and finish lines are located in the San José school area.

Schedules and events

• 10:30: Bizkotxalde Txiki, 1 km (pre-benjamín, benjamín, and alevín).
• 10:45: Bizkotxalde Gazte, approximately 2.5 km (infantil and cadete).
• 11:15: Txupetines, 300 m, around the San José school (up to 6 years old).
• 11:30: Herri Krosa 7K, through the streets of Basauri (from 16 years old; senior, master 40, and master 50 categories).
• The race closes at 12:45.

Practical information

• Mandatory online registration for all categories, until November 19 at 12:00.
• Price: free for those under 18; €5 for ages 18 and older.
• T-shirt guaranteed for the first 500 people registered by November 13.
• Bib numbers: November 19 and 20 in the afternoon at the San José School Alumni room, and on the day of the event until 10:25.
