The renowned artist and image theorist Joan Fontcuberta presents an extraordinary inventory of unique and little-known corals at the Plaza of the Centro Niemeyer. Curated by Antonio Tabernero, the exhibition revisits the places explored by Charles Darwin during his expedition on the Beagle, speculating on species that the naturalist overlooked and that would have enriched our understanding of evolution.
The exhibition reveals the unprecedented beauty of these organisms, whose preservation is threatened today by climate change. Fontcuberta, the only Spanish artist to be awarded the prestigious Hasselblad Award, combines his scientific rigor with a unique artistic perspective in this work.
