Immerse yourself in a story of memory and exile with the screening of “Volver a casa tan tarde”, the acclaimed documentary by Celia Viada Caso. This work explores the life of the writer María Luisa Elío, who in 1970 returned to Spain after decades of exile in Mexico, seeking to reconnect with a past that perhaps no longer existed.
Through 10 small stories, the director reconstructs the loose pieces of the life of this key figure of the 20th-century artistic avant-gardes. The film is an intimate journey that connects with the work “En el Balcón Vacío”, where Elío explored her own wound as an exile.
