About the event

Join this practical workshop organized by LUCE Gijón to delve into the world of video games from a healthy and conscious perspective. This training is designed for families and young people who wish to better understand the gaming environment, addressing both its opportunities and the risks associated with current digital design.

Workshop objectives

  • Identify suitable video games for each age.
  • Understand the “Games as a Service” model.
  • Detect addictive designs and gaming patterns.

Contents

  • Critical analysis: PEGI and Loot boxes.
  • “Dark Patterns”: design traps.
  • Practical tips for family gaming.
  • Promoting legitimate digital leisure.

The workshop will be taught by Juan García, a digital strategy consultant and expert in the responsible use of technology, known for his work at @crianzadigital. The activity is free and has 25 spots available. Attending teachers may request a certificate of participation.
