Have you ever watched a dance performance and wondered what is behind every movement or why it makes you feel what you feel? The Ver con_mover seminar, led by Yolanda Vázquez, is a fantastic opportunity to learn how to “read” dance in a simple, profound, and very accessible way, without the need for prior knowledge.
This workshop, organized by Escena Xixón, is designed for anyone interested in the art of movement who wants to develop their own criteria and enjoy even more what happens on stage.
Practical information
The event will take place on April 25, 2026, from 16:00 to 18:00, at the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto. The ticket price is 5 Euros.
To attend, it is necessary to register in advance through the electronic office, available starting Friday, April 10. You can manage your spot at the following ticket link.
What is the workshop about?
Far from being a technical or academic class, this seminar is a space to discover how the dancing body speaks to us about current events, our emotions, and beauty. Through the viewing of a dance piece and a guided analysis, you will learn to:
- Interpret body language, whether in academic or contemporary dance.
- Identify the dramatic and critical weight of a choreography.
- Take your own notes on what you see to draw personal conclusions.
- Understand why dance is a powerful tool for gaining perspective on the world around us.
It is an open invitation to the general public (ages 16 and up) to transform your gaze and turn the act of observing into a much richer and more personal experience. Come and discover a new way to enjoy dance!
