This photographic-sound project, created by Javier Bejarano and Ibai Etxezagarra under the curatorship of Isabel Hernández, explores the relationship between geography and emotion. The work arises from a twenty-one-day self-sufficient expedition through the Baltoro Glacier, in Pakistan, carried out at an altitude of 5,500 meters and with temperatures below -20ºC.
The exhibition is composed of 50 works and field recordings that seek to capture the intensity and magnetism of these landscapes, proposing a “humanistic geography” that translates the lived experience into an abstract mapping of images and sounds. It is an invitation to contemplate the unfathomable through an internal dialogue between the authors and the extreme natural environment.
