Family Workshop: Botanical Printing

Description

Guided by Alba Rueda, we will discover how leaves and flowers can leave their mark on fabrics. We will identify the plant material we are going to work with in the Jardín, always collecting it responsibly. We will learn how to make our own herbarium and other preservation techniques to have leaves and flowers available all year round, which we will use to print on the garments we can wear.

Participants will create a cotton bag printed with leaves from the botanical garden, and children will also take home their own herbarium made using the “hapa zome” printing technique. No previous experience is necessary.

• Ages: From 6 years old.
• Price: €6 (€5.10 for children who are members of the Club Miruéndanos).
• Spots: 12 in total (adults and children).
• Note: Maximum of 2 accompanying adults per child. It is essential to register all family unit participants individually.
