Family Workshop: Floral and Botanical Cyanotype

Description

We invite you to explore the cyanotype technique and discover the Botánico as an artistic resource. This is a handcrafted photographic printing process that reacts to sunlight to capture the silhouette of plants and flowers in their characteristic blue tones (“Prussian blue”).

During the session, we will take a tour of the Botánico to identify and/or collect elements that we will use in our compositions. Next, we will prepare the photosensitive material on paper, follow the proper steps to create compositions (photograms), and develop the materials, obtaining unique pieces inspired by the nature of the surroundings.

Practical information

• Ages: From 9 years old.
• Price: €6 (€5.10 for minor members of the Club Miruéndanos).
• Spots: 16 in total (adults and minors).
• Instructor: Beatriz Sánchez (Jardinera de rotondas).
• Note: Maximum of 2 accompanying adults per minor. It is essential to register all participants of the family unit (adults and minors) individually.
