Knotted rug creation workshop

On the occasion of the exhibition for the 300th anniversary of the Real Fábrica de Tapices, staff from the institution itself will lead a practical workshop to discover the process of creating a knotted rug. It is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the artisanal techniques that have defined the history of this historic manufactory.

The activity will take place in the Sala de Conferencias of the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto. During the session, specialists from the Real Fábrica de Tapices will explain step by step how these textile pieces are made, allowing attendees to delve into the traditional craft of weaving. 🧶
