The story follows Maria, a young novice full of joy and vitality who arrives at the home of the strict Captain Von Trapp to care for his seven children. Her arrival transforms a household governed by discipline into a space filled with music and hope, as the family faces the profound changes shaking Europe on the eve of World War II.
