Sobrescobio Trail 2026

Rioseco hosts one of the standout mountain running events in Asturias. Over two days, participants will traverse some of the most spectacular landscapes of the Parque Natural de Redes, declared a Biosphere Reserve, through trails, forests, high mountain pastures, and peaks that offer a demanding sporting challenge in the heart of nature.

The 2026 edition will feature three main categories: the SOT Skyrace, spanning 31 kilometers; the SST Speed Trail, spanning 17.5 kilometers; and the Redes Xtreme, which combines both races into an individual stage competition. The SOT Skyrace will once again be part of the Merrell Skyrunner World Series, while the SST Speed Trail will host the under-23 world final of the Trofeo Esteban Olivero.

Saturday, October 24

• 09:00 h. SOT Skyrace (31 km, 2,100 m positive elevation gain). Start and finish in Rioseco.
• 16:00 h. Mini Redes Trail: Bib number pickup at the sports pavilion.
• 16:30 h. Traditional games.
• 17:45 h. Non-competitive children’s races (Green, Blue, and Red Races).

Sunday, October 25

• 10:00 h. SST Speed Trail (17.5 km, 1,100 m positive elevation gain). Start and finish in Rioseco.

Stage category

• Redes Xtreme: Saturday, October 24 and Sunday, October 25 (49.5 km and 3,200 m positive elevation gain).
