Easter Week in Avilés is a declared Tourist Interest Festival of the Principality of Asturias.

The religious tradition of Easter Week is reflected in the streets of Avilés with processions that run through the historic center of the city between arcades, squares and palaces from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday.

The Easter Week processions have been taking place uninterruptedly since 1948, collecting the tradition of brotherhoods and processions that were organized in the council since the 17th century.
