Barres Cultural Week 2026

The 36th Barres Cultural Week is held from August 24 to August 29, 2026, offering a varied program that includes children’s activities, theater, music, and traditional gastronomy in the council of Castropol.

Featured Program

• Monday, August 24: Children’s Day with games, inflatables, a foam cannon, and a tortilla contest.
• Tuesday, August 25: Seniors’ Day with a tribute mass and a concert by the Rondalla Armonía, followed by hot chocolate with churros.
• Wednesday, August 26: Rapela Day with a gastronomic tasting and music by DJ Marco.
• Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28: Theater days with the plays “Doña Clara” (Colectivo Cultural Ollomao) and “Sainetes” (Rosario Trabanco).
• Saturday, August 29: Churrasco Day with mass, a procession, a vermouth session, and a grand final barbecue.

Gastronomic information

On Saturday, August 29, the grand barbecue is held. The price of the menu at the sports center is €25 for adults and €12 for children (under 12 years old), and it is free for children under 5 years old. Takeaway barbecue is also offered for €17 (available until 15:00).
