Santo Tomas Azoka 2026 – Bilbao Santo Tomás Fair (77th Edition)

About the event

La feria de Santo Tomás is one of the most traditional celebrations in Bizkaia. Every December 21, it turns downtown Bilbao into a large rural market where primary sector producers bring local seasonal products to the city. The 2026 edition, the 77th, is held on Monday, December 21 in El Arenal and its surroundings, organized by BBK.

What you can find, according to the organizers:

  • Local product stalls: cheese, honey, bread, fruits, vegetables, cured meats, and other products from baserritarras and makers.
  • Traditional gastronomy: talos with chorizo, cider, and txakoli.
  • Music and folklore: dance groups, bertsolaris, and live performances.
  • Activities: rural craft demonstrations, contests, and traditional games.

BBK presents the fair as a meeting point between the rural world and the city, with a focus on local consumption, quality, and generational renewal in the primary sector. The stalls are awarded following an open call from October 19 to November 6, with provisional allocation on November 20.

For this edition, Batu eta irabazi returns, a glass recycling initiative with two points in El Arenal: for each bottle delivered, a ticket is received to win one of 318 prizes, such as backpacks and other gifts. The solidarity beans also return, in collaboration with BISUBI. BBK will publish the schedule and detailed program in the coming weeks.
