The San Timoteo 2026 festivities offer an extensive cultural and festive program in the council of Valdés, standing out for its open-air dances, concerts, parades, and the traditional pilgrimage. The celebration spans several days in August, culminating on San Timoteo Day on August 22.
Featured Program
- August 1 and 2: Musical performances at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento and the Campo de San Timoteo.
- August 9: Cofrade Pilgrimage with traditional music.
- August 17: Children’s Festival and Foam Party.
- August 18-20: Concert series and open-air dances at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
- August 21 (Eve): Street parades, parade of giants and big-heads, music throughout the town, and fireworks at midnight.
- August 22 (San Timoteo Day): Civic procession, mass at the Saint’s chapel, concert by the Tattoo orchestra, and closing open-air dance.
- September 1: San Timoteo for Everyone, a day of fellowship dedicated to the users of the CAI de Canero and nursing homes.
