San Mateo. Festivities in Oviedo

Oviedo celebrates its traditional San Mateo festivities with an extensive musical program that ranges from major concerts at the La Ería venue to performances in iconic squares such as the Plaza del Paraguas, Feijoo, Porlier, and the Catedral. The city comes to life with an offering that includes traditional music, orchestras, vermouth sessions, electronic proposals, and the “A la Plaza” series.

Programación destacada

• Official start: September 10 with Celtas Cortos on Calle Uría.
• La Ería: Large-format concerts with artists such as Mónica Naranjo, Taburete, Leiva, Rodrigo Cuevas, and the Vetusta Fest festival.
• A la Plaza series (Plaza del Paraguas): Two daily concerts with local, national, and international acts.
• Paseo del Bombé: Space dedicated to popular music and orchestras with artists such as Chimo Bayo, King África, and La Orquesta Mondragón.
• Plaza de Feijoo: Venue for the Concurso de Rock Ciudad de Oviedo and the FestiAMAS final.

The celebrations extend until September 27, culminating with the traditional Romería del Cristo and the performance by Los Testigos.
