Reconquista Route. Asturias

Embark on an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Picos de Europa. This fourth stage of the Ruta de la Reconquista takes you through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the region, including the stunning Áliva mountain passes and the enchanting beech forests of Las Ilces.

Starting in the village of Sotres, the trail winds through the Duje river valley, flanked by the majestic peaks of the national park. Along the way, you will encounter the famous ‘Piedra Llé’, a historic landmark marking the boundary between Asturias and Cantabria. The route concludes with a scenic descent toward Espinama or continues through lush forests to the village of Cosgaya.

Practical Information

• Departure: The bus departs at 06:30 from Pravia, 06:45 from Cudillero, 07:10 from Parque Astur (Avilés), and 07:30 from Alcampo (Gijón).
• Price: 18€ for members, 20€ for non-members.
