The locality of Insierto, in the Mieres Valley of Cuna, hosts the Saints Martyrs of Valdecuna Pilgrimage, in which the pilgrims climb to the hermitage of the Martyrs Saint Cosme and Saint Damián, where after the mass they participate in the ramu auction, followed by a rustic meal.

History

The festival, of deep historical roots, combines the religious fervor with the playful aspect of the Asturian popular hikes and pilgrimages. The religious part of the festival begins nine days before the big day, when the novena starts, to which many devotees of the Saints martyrs come to ask for health for everyone.
