After a life dedicated to hard work, Robert Finley has established himself as one of the leading exponents of contemporary blues. Born and raised in the small town of Bernice, Louisiana, Finley spent decades playing music on the street and leading the gospel group Brother Finley and the Gospel Sisters before making his long-awaited recording debut at the early age of 62 with Age Don’t Mean A Thing in 2016.
Finley has also participated in several high-profile television shows, including the 2019 season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” where he reached the semifinals, and the program “CBS Saturday Morning.”
After overcoming great adversity, such as the loss of his sight at age 60, Robert Finley is recognized worldwide as an exceptional storyteller and one of the last great bluesmen of the modern era, a true living legend with even more magic to be discovered.
