Remiendos is an installation of a series of objects made of different materials (fabrics, ceramics, wood or metals) repaired under the discourse of the beauty of the repaired and the creative process of the prolongation of the useful life of an object. Objects as a trace of our passage through life, treasure of our footprints.
The project develops the concept of “patching up” as a healing process in the solution of a problem or the repair of a damage. And that discourse of the beauty of the repaired is strengthened with the use of gold in its added materials such as it is realized in the Japanese origin process of “Kintsukuroi”: the technique of repairing the defects of any object with gold lacquer, an aesthetic hug that reconciles us with the errors embellishing them.
