Procesión Marinera de San Juan
The locality of L’Arena, hosts the Procesión marinera de San Juan, on the 24th of June, which is framed in the Fiestas de San Juan.
After the mass in honor of the Holy Patron, at 13:00h, the streets of the marine village host this singular procession of deep root that, marked the beginning of the bonito coast when the village was one of the most important fishing ports in Asturias, including the blessing of the waters of the Cantábrico. At that moment, the sailors, who carry San Juan, San Telmo and the Virgin of Carmen, approach the port.
