This celebration commemorates the historic landing of Charles V at the port of Tazones, an event that has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest of the Principality of Asturias. For two days, the town travels back in time to recreate this event before hundreds of spectators.
The program includes a wide variety of traditional activities that take place throughout the day:
- Popular games in the square.
- Market of typical products from the area.
- Workshops and demonstrations of ancient crafts, such as sail dyeing, the making of nets and wooden lobster pots, and esparto braiding.
- Traditional Asturian dances.
- The historical reenactment of the monarch’s landing at the port.
