Presentation. Loneliness in front of everyone. Unwanted loneliness when you are young

Would you like to delve into a topic as necessary as unwanted loneliness in youth? I invite you to come to this presentation and discussion, a space for reflection where real experiences of young people will be given a voice through the project La soledad delante de todos. 🌿

The event will take place on June 15, 2026 at 18:00 at the Centro de Cultura Antiguo Instituto, within the framework of the Feria del Libro de Gijón/Xixón 2026. Admission is for the general public.

About the project

The session will feature the screening and presentation of this project, which seeks to make unwanted loneliness visible when you are young. To enrich the debate, we will have a discussion in which experts and protagonists will participate:

• Carlamarina Rodríguez Pereira: clinical psychologist, head of the HDIJ-HUCA and associate professor at the Universidad de Oviedo.
• Emilio Méndez Martínez: director of the theatrical play Que se escuche fuerte mi grito, a research project of the Facultad de Formación del Profesorado y Educación and Doctor in Educational Sciences.
• Claudia Peira Gómez: actress.
• Gabriela Díaz-Guerra Calvo and Sofía Cortés Fernández: participants in the project.

The meeting, coordinated by Eva Quevedo and moderated by Ana Isabel Álvarez, has the collaboration of the IES Universidad Laboral and the 1st-year Performing Arts baccalaureate students. It will be a unique opportunity to hear different perspectives on a social challenge that affects us all. ✨
