
The author Nary Ly presents her book La historia de Nary Ly: superviviente, científica, olímpica in a meeting that combines a documentary screening, a lecture, and a book signing session. This work narrates her life journey, marked by her survival of the Khmer Rouge genocide, her career as a research scientist, and her participation as a marathon runner in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The event will take place in the Salón de Actos de la Escuela de Comercio (2nd-floor lobby).

Through her memoirs, the doctor of Biology and Medical Sciences shares her personal experience with the goal of providing support to those going through situations of extreme adversity. It is a unique opportunity to hear the testimony of a woman who has managed to excel in both the field of infectious disease research and elite sports after escaping the Khmer Rouge regime and finding refuge in France.
