Presentation of the short story collection "Sonata de hastío"

The event will take place on May 26, 2026 at 19:00 in the 2nd-floor lobby of the Antigua Escuela de Comercio. Admission is open to the general public, and it is an activity organized by Gesto Sociedad Cultural with the collaboration of Librería Momo.

About the author and the work

In “Sonata de hastío”, the author presents us with forty stories where the words have been chosen with precision to create a unique atmosphere of restlessness. Mar Braña Gancedo, who holds a degree in French Philology from the Universidad de Oviedo, has a distinguished career:

• Author of ¡Adiós, cordura! y otros cuentos (2018).
• Winner of the first prize in the Memorial Víctimas del Terrorismo (2015) with Irene.
• Ana María Matute Prize with Patas de astracán (2020).
• Winner of the I Certamen Dalia Álvarez Molina (2020).

During this presentation, the author will be accompanied by the writer Francisco Álvarez Velasco, who will share his impressions of this new work. It will be an intimate and very interesting meeting for literature lovers. ✨
