Diane Foley presents American Mother, the book that chronicles her process of grief and survival following the murder of her son, the journalist James Foley, at the hands of the Islamic State in 2014. The author will be accompanied at this event by the journalist Javier Espinosa, who shared captivity with James in Syria, and the photographer Manu Brabo.
This work, written in collaboration with the Irish author Colum McCann, reconstructs Foley’s personal journey from tragedy to the pursuit of justice and healing. It is an opportunity to learn firsthand the details of this story of resilience and memory.
The event will take place in the Sala de conferencias del Centro Cultura Antiguo Instituto Jovellanos.
