Rivers are not infrastructure or obedient channels, they are living and dynamic systems! In this talk, we will explore why rivers ignore our plans, maps, and concrete, and how many current problems—such as floods and erosion processes—are not “failures” of nature, but the result of a misreading of the fluvial landscape.
