Oso Trail Proaza

Proaza hosts the second edition of the Oso Trail Proaza, a sports event that combines trail running, hiking, and children’s activities in the natural surroundings of the Valles del Oso.

The competition will feature different categories adapted to various ages and levels of preparation. The main event, covering 14 kilometers with approximately 783 meters of positive elevation gain, will take place along tracks, trails, and forests of the municipality, passing through locations such as Serandi, Portiello, Castrillón, Villamejín, La Cuandia, and Pico Las Airúas.

Programa

Saturday, December 19

• Vertical Race: 5 kilometers and 900 meters of positive elevation gain. From 18:00 to 20:00 h, bib number pickup in Proaza, at the race start area.

Sunday, December 20

• 08:00 to 09:30 h: Bib number pickup in the start area, in front of the Town Hall of Proaza.
• 10:00 h: II Oso Trail Proaza. Distance of 14 kilometers with start and finish on Calle La Abadía, in front of the Town Hall.
• Hikers: Non-competitive hiking march.
• Crece Trail FEMPA: Children’s activity promoted by the Mountain Sports Federation of the Principality of Asturias.
• 14:30 h: Awards ceremony.
