The opening night of the Semana Grande is danced in El Llano. Orquesta Nueva Fuerza, one of the most experienced groups on the northern festival circuit, unfolds its great spectacle of lights, brass, and vocals to open the stage at the Plaza del Tres de Abril.
Cumbia, pop, Latin, international hits, and the usual classics played one after another without a break: a high-level festival to start the festivities as Gijón traditions dictate, with the audience on their feet from the first to the last song.
