A market with history
The Cangas de Onís market is the setting for the most iconic and popular market in the Picos de Europa region. It has been held for over 200 years in the area around the Palaciu Pintu, next to the Iglesia Parroquial de Santa María.
What can you find?
It is a Sunday event where you can purchase all kinds of Asturian products:
- Gastronomy: Artisanal cheeses (Cabrales, Gamonéu, and Beyos), butter, honey, and farm-fresh eggs.
- Crafts and other items: Traditional basketry, decoration, wooden tools, leather goods, ceramics, clothing, and flowers.
As tradition dictates, Sundays in Cangas are for the market and vermouth.
