Market in Cangas de Onís

The capital of the Cangas de Onís council is the setting for the most iconic and popular market in the Picos de Europa region. A fun and playful Sunday gathering, where locals and tourists create a unique atmosphere.

The Cangas de Onís market has been held for over 200 years, in the same surroundings as the Palaciu Pintu, next to the Parish Church of Santa María. You can find all types of Asturian products, from artisanal cheeses from Cabrales, Gamonéu, and Beyos, to lard, honey, homemade eggs, as well as traditional basketry, decoration, wooden tools, skins, ceramics, clothing stalls, or flowers.

As tradition dictates, Cangas Sundays are for mercaú and vermut.
