Synopsis
“Los cuernos de don Friolera” is part of the “Martes de Carnaval” trilogy, which has the military nature of Spain at the time as its backdrop.
The play tells the story of how Lieutenant Astete, known as don Friolera, receives an anonymous note warning him that his wife is cheating on him. Driven mad by the jealousy he feels for his frivolous wife, doña Loreta, who is tempted by a half-hearted dandy and neighbor, the barber Pachequín, and instigated by a malicious neighborhood, he plots to take revenge.
