About the author
Olvido García Valdés (Santianes de Pravia, 1950) is a prominent poet and essayist. Throughout her career, she has received prestigious awards, including:
- Premio Reina Sofía de Poesía Iberoamericana (2022)
- Premio Iberoamericano de Poesía Pablo Neruda (2021)
- Premio de las Letras de Asturias (2016)
- Premio Nacional de Poesía (2007)
She has directed institutions such as the Instituto Cervantes in Toulouse and has served as Director General of the Libro y Fomento de la Lectura. Her work has been translated into multiple languages, and she has collaborated on numerous translations and literary reflection texts.
