Presentation and reading
The work El saber del país / Country Wisdom by John Berger (Trabe, 2023) will be presented. The event will consist of a bilingual poetry reading by Lucy Humphreys, followed by a conversation with Rafa Rodríguez Valdés, director of the Calume collection (Trabe).
About the author
Daniel García Granda (Pola de Siero, 1972) holds a degree in English Philology and is a secondary school teacher. He is the author of poetry collections such as Poemes del últimu salvaxe, El raitán y el sangrín, or Rosada 3.0 (winner of the Premiu Fernán Coronas in 2022), and children’s books such as Versos d’Asturies, Amorina Motosierra, and Prau. As a translator, he has been awarded the Florina Alias prize for his Asturian version of In Dubious Battle by John Steinbeck. He has also translated El saber del país / Country wisdom by John Berger.
