Cellero and his friends spend their time in a bar remembering old glories, joking and drinking beers. But since March 8th, something changes in their lives: the women, who were previously at home, go out into the world. Led by Andrea, Manolín’s granddaughter, women and pensioners from the parish go out, putting the authorities and the financial power in difficulty.
Set in the surroundings of the feminist strike of March 8th, 2018, La talla 38 or the chains of the fañagüetes is an attempt to reflect, starting from popular comedy and Asturian monologue, the worries and struggles of social movements, specifically, the feminist and pensioners’ movements. Several references are made to what the 15-M movement represented, also to the time of the preferents that affected older people and family relationships in general.
