Traditional music sneaks into the Feria de la Miel de Boal with the concert "Compañeras. Contar cantando"

Next Sunday, November 1, as part of the celebration of the Feria de la Miel, Boal will host the concert “Compañeras. Contar cantando”, a proposal that will allow the public to get closer to the history and customs of 19th and early 20th century Asturias through traditional music.

Throughout the concert, which will begin at 18:00 h, a repertoire will unfold that recovers songs that women used to narrate their experiences, express their feelings, and tell what was happening around them. Each performance will be accompanied by explanations about the place where the song was collected, the historical events of the area, traditional jobs, and the way of life of the era.
